film information

The Skyfleet S570, a prototype aircraft, is fundamental to Le Chiffre's investment and stock dealing plan. Buying shares against the market, Le Chiffre plans the destruction of the airliner causing Skyfleet shares to crash. Being revealed at Miami International airport, this prototype dubbed the "largest plane in the world" is narrowly saved by Bond after Carlos' attempt to run a fuel tanker into the plane.

In reality, this retired Boeing 747-200B is now a movie prop used by the film makers and later Volkswagen for an advertising campaign. Fitted with twin mock engines on both wings and a modified cockpit, the 747 was adapted to look more like a bomber, thus portraying its advanced prototype stance portrayed in the film.
