Andrea Anders played by Maud Adams is the first Bond Girl of The Man With The Golden Gun. Throughout the film she is simply known as Miss Anders.
At the start of the film Miss Anders is seen with Scaramanga on his private island. After the pre-title sequence, the plot for the story becomes clear. James Bond has been sent a note from Francisco Scaramanga, a famous assassin, with a golden bullet engraved with 007. As the plot unfolds it becomes clear that Miss Anders sent the note and the bullet hoping Bond would come and eventually kill Scaramanga.
Bond follows Miss Anders back to her hotel where after confronting her, 007 manages to find out where Scaramanga is next appearing. Miss Anders later meets Bond again in his hotel room where after Bond beds her he agrees to kill Scaramanga for the Solex. The next morning when Bond meets Miss Anders for the Solex she has already been killed after Scaramanga discovers her deceit.
Andrea Anders is Scaramangas mistress. She is in a similar position to that of Dominique Derval in Thunderball. Scaramanga makes love to Miss Anders every time before the kill. Miss Anders will do anything to escape Scaramangas clutches and risks her life in getting Bond to track down Scaramanga and kill him. A resourceful and intelligent woman, Miss Anders is killed by Scaramanga whilst bringing Bond the Solex for her betrayal.
Maud Adams is the only person to appear in three Bond films (The Man With The Golden Gun, Octopussy and A View To A Kill). She is also the only person to play two different Bond Girls, Andrea Anders in The Man With The Golden Gun and Octopussy in Octopussy. §
